A GHALCA delegation led by our Vice Chairperson Madam Phyllis Marku Mensah paid a working visit to the Western North Regional Minister Hon. Wilbert Petty Brentum to discuss football development in the region.

The meeting which was held at the Regional Minister’s office in Sefwi Wiaso was to discuss how GHALCA in conjunction with the Western North Coordinating Council can collaborate to ensure football development in the region. Key on the agenda was the Regional Minister’s Cup which is scheduled to take place at Sefwi Wiaso later in December this year.

During the discussions, the Vice Chairperson used the opportunity to inform the Regional Minister of GHALCA’s products which are the President Cup,First Lady Cup, and GHALCA invitational tournament (The Top 4). The Minister on the other hand thanked GHALCA for honouring him and his colleague Regional Ministers with such a competition, and that he is a football fan and he will support the Regional Minister’s Cup and be part of it. He also assured that he is more than committed to any attempt and plan that will ensure the development of football and sports at large in his region.

Other members of the GHALCA delegation included GHALCA Executive Council Member Mr. Fred Tindan and Sefwi Wiaso District Football Association Chairman Mr. Ebenezer Nana Yaw Yeboah.

GHALCA has already visited some Regional Ministers and will continue to visit all the 16 Regional Ministers in the country. GHALCA plans to use the Regional Coordinating Councils as a tool for development to enhance football development and participation throughout the country.
