Ghana is proud of you – First Lady to Hasaacas Ladies after Champions League final defeat

First lady of Ghana, Rebecca Akufo-Addo has consoled Hasaacas Ladies after losing the CAF Women’s Champions League final on Friday evening.

Hasaacas Ladies were defeated 2:0 by Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa in the final of the maiden edition of the CAF Champions league at the 30 June Stadium in Egypt.

Prior to the game, many tipped Hasaacas Ladies to dismantle Mamelodi Sundowns but it went otherwise.

It was Hasaacas Ladies first defeat in the tournament after outstanding showdown in the group stages and the knockout rounds.

In a post, the first lady who has been supporting Hasaacas Ladies before, during and after the tournament wrote that, “It is unfortunate we could not bring the trophy home nonetheless you have made the nation proud. Keep your heads up and continue doing great exploits. Congratulations HASAACAS LADIES FC.”
