Super Clash: Thousands watch Hearts-Asante Kotoko game at Accra Sports Stadium amid COVID-19 pandemic

The Super Clash between Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko recorded a sizeable crowd on Sunday following government’s decision to allow full capacity at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The government had placed a limit on fan attendance at the various stadia across the country due to the COVID-19 pandemic. A directive which commenced two years ago.
However, after a review by the COVID-19 task force team ahead of the Super Clash and communicated by the National Sports Authority (NSA), restrictions had been lifted for the stadium to admit to its full capacity with adherence to COVID-19 protocols on Friday night.
9,500 tickets printed ahead of the game were out of stock by close of work on Friday.
Additional tickets were printed on Saturday to enable more fans to watch the two Ghana Premier League giants compete.
For the first time in many months over 20,000 supporters were at the Accra Sports Stadium to watch Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko game amid the COVID-19 pandemic in the Ghana Premier League.
Marking the return of full attendance at the various stadiums.
The game ended in a stalemate with the two teams sharing the points after 90 minutes.
Hearts of Oak had the biggest opportunities to score in the game but were unable to convert them.
